  • Wingspan: 3.4 to 4.8 ft.
  • Habitat : Fields, deserts, grasslands, wetlands, mountains, foothills, rainforests, agricultural fields, pastures, and suburban areas in North America
  • Conservation Status: Least Concern (Population increasing)
  • Fun Fact: Red-tailed hawks are relatively tamable and trainable. As such they are the most common bird used in American falconry, especially for amateurs!
