  • Wingspan: 22 to 31 in.
  • Habitat : Forest, savanna, and shrubland in Europe, Asia, and parts of Africa
  • Conservation Status: Least Concern (Population stable)
  • Fun Fact: The Eurasian sparrowhawk is known to prey on racing pigeons. Pigeon racing is a sport in which trained homing pigeons are taken a set distance away from home and then are timed as they return. Eurasian sparrowhawks have been killed for disrupting this sport!
